Delicious cinnamon roll-inspired French toast roll-ups, filled with a sweet cinnamon-sugar mixture and served with a creamy dipping sauce.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 8 slices White Sandwich Bread Crust removed
  • 1/2 cup Half and Half or Milk
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Filling

  • 4 tablespoons Light Brown Sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Butter Melted
  • 3 teaspoons Cinnamon

Cream Cheese Dip

  • 4 ounces Cream Cheese
  • 4 tablespoons Powdered Sugar
  • 3-4 teaspoons Milk Add gradually
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Divided for cooking
  • 1-2 tablespoons Cinnamon Sugar For serving (optional)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cut crust off of bread.
  • Flatten slices with a rolling pin and set aside.
  • In a shallow bowl, whisk together half and half or milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until blended.

Filling

  • In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, melted butter, and cinnamon until combined.

Cream Cheese Dip

  • In a small bowl, mix cream cheese and powdered sugar until blended. Slowly add milk, one teaspoon at a time, until creamy.

Assembly & Cooking

  • Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Spread a layer of cinnamon filling on each slice of bread, then roll tightly lengthwise.
  • Dip each rolled-up bread slice into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off.
  • Cook in batches, turning every 2-3 minutes until browned on all sides.

Notes

For extra sweetness, sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top before serving.
