Instructions
Preparation
Cut crust off of bread.
Flatten slices with a rolling pin and set aside.
In a shallow bowl, whisk together half and half or milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until blended.
Filling
In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, melted butter, and cinnamon until combined.
Cream Cheese Dip
In a small bowl, mix cream cheese and powdered sugar until blended. Slowly add milk, one teaspoon at a time, until creamy.
Assembly & Cooking
Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Spread a layer of cinnamon filling on each slice of bread, then roll tightly lengthwise.
Dip each rolled-up bread slice into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off.
Cook in batches, turning every 2-3 minutes until browned on all sides.
Notes
For extra sweetness, sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top before serving.
